The Chicago based drummer Michael Zerang and the two Berliners Magda Mayas (clavinet) and Michael Thieke (clarinet) have already been collaborating for years in different setups on various occasions before they started to work as a trio in 2011. The trio met on a few occasions when Michael Zerang came to Berlin during his tours in Europe. Their musical fucus is on the development of sonic and rhythmic electro-acoustic textures, improvised and stretching out to the limits of the vocabulary of their instruments.
The concert at ausland will be recorded for a planned release.
