Olivia Oyama

Olivia Oyama is an experienced sound engineer both in clubs and touring a total of 30 times throughout North America and Europe, with bands like Vladislav Delay Quartett, Monno and Sleepytime Gorilla Museum. Along the way she´s been amassing a collection of field recordings, ultimately for the purpose of creating "sound art." In this process, she has been learning both Max MSP and Pure Data, and writing her own patches. Olivia Oyama also uses more standard audio programs such as Cubase, Nuendo and Wavelab. As she is also interested in the hardware side of sound, she has built several guitar pedals, microphone preamps, and synthesizers.
