Video Sessions

Since spring this year ausland started filming selected artists in a small session at ausland as a way to do concerts in these times. The session videos are about 20 minutes long and include a small artist interview at the end. We hope you'll find the time to watch and enjoy an ausland concert in this way at home.

Ale Hop Video Session + Interview

Alejandra Cardenas aka Ale Hop, b. Lima, Peru is a Berlin-based artist, researcher, and experimental instrumentist from Peru.
She composes electronic and electroacoustic music, by blending strains of noise, pop, avant-garde,
ambient and a complex repertoire of extended techniques for electric guitar and real-time sampling devices.

Hilá Lahav

Video session - filmed and recorded at ausland Berlin on 4.6.2020

Born 1985 in Zikhron Yaacov, Israel, Hilà Lahav is a poet and a musician, founder and member of several ensembles, she performs early and modern music as well as classical Turkish, Arabic and Andalusian music on the Ney (Turkish/Arab flute) and historical woodwinds, and her own contractions/ interruptions with electronics and performance, collaborating with performers and musicians to create and form languages and bridges over time, roots and traditions. Filled with Happy Drones

Eilis Frawley

Eilis Frawley is a classically trained percussionist from the Elder Conservatorium of Music in Adelaide. She spent a number of years in Seoul, where she played in various bands before relocating to Berlin in 2016. https://www.eilisfrawleydrums.com/
