Rrose Sélavy is excited to present live acts by two unique artists who released some of their best work this year:

Black To Comm is Hamburg based composer/musician Marc Richter, known for creating a haunting mix of bizarre, dreamlike settings put to sound. His recent album „Seven Horses For Seven Kings“ (Thrill Jockey) is a surreal masterpiece mixing noise, volume, rhythm, repetition, atonality and beauty into something that fits the year 2019 like a glove. Since 2003 Richter has released 9 full-length albums under the Black To Comm alias, including 2009's critically acclaimed "Alphabet 1968" on Type Records, a monolithic 36-minute one-chord drone CD on Digitalis Recordings ("Charlemagne & Pippin"), 2011's vinyl-only collaboration with the late visual artist Mike Kelley on the En/Of label and three albums on his own Dekorder label. His soundtrack for the film "EARTH" by Singapore artist Ho Tzu Nyen came out on De Stijl in March 2012.

Julia Reidy focuses within her musical practice on instability and endurance, often through an extended palette of raw acoustic sounds, synthesised material and recorded artefacts. She released the fascinatingly strange „Brace Brace“ (Slip) earlier this year. A dread-tinged incantation unfurling from breath-down-the-neck field recordings, auto-murmured voice, synthetic hum, and irrepressible 12-string guitar kinetics. Julia also has a new full-lenght coming on Oren Ombarchi´s Black Truffle in October. She earlier released works on labels like Feeding Tube and Room40 and performs with projects such as SPOILER, the Splitter Orchester, Tennis of All Kinds and Sno Globe.
