Bricolage is a quarterly music series that partners artists from the creative capitals of Berlin and Chicago in an exploration of collaborative work in the Covid era.
Co-curated by experimental musicians Magda Mayas and Dave Rempis, the series attempts to create new artistic partnerships, as well as new models for remote collaboration in this unprecedented time. Bricolage encourages artists to work creatively with the technological means available, and their limitations, to create new models that may have use and impact even after this era.

Tony Buck is regarded as one of Australia’s most creative and adventurous exports, with vast experience across the globe. As a drummer, percussionist, improviser, guitarist, video maker and producer, he has been involved in a highly diverse array of projects but is probably best known around the world as a member of the trio “The Necks”.
Current projects include a LIVE solo adaption of the UNEARTH music, incorporating installations, video, drums and guitar; “Spill” with Magda Mayas; a long standing duo with Axel Doerner as well as a continuing in ad hoc and improvised performance settings.

Damon Locks is a visual artist, educator, vocalist/musician, and deejay. He attended The School of the Art Institute in Chicago where he received his BFA in Fine Arts. Since 2014 he has been working with Prison + Neighborhood Arts Project (PNAP) teaching art at Stateville Correctional Center.
He is a 2015 recipient of the Helen Coburn Meier and Tim Meier Achievement Award in the Arts, was a 2016 Chicago Artists Coalition MAKER Grant recipient and a co-recipient of a 2017 Soros Justice Fellowship and recently a resident artist at Hyde Park Art Center. He is a teaching artist with the School Partnership for Art and Civic Engagement (SPACE) program through the Museum of Contemporary Art at the Sarah E. Goode STEM Academy. His group Black Monument Ensemble has performed at the MCA, Garfield Park Conservatory, and the Chicago Cultural Center.

Bricolage is produced and broadcast by venue partners in each city, Elastic Arts in Chicago, and ausland in Berlin.
