Louis Rastig
Louis Rastig, born in 1987, is a Berlin-based musician and festival curator. He composed the soundtrack for the ZDF/Arte-production "Vaterlandsverräter" which has been premiered at the "Internationale Filmfestspiele Berlinale" in 2011. As artistic director, he organizes the international avant-garde jazz festival "A L'ARME!" in Berlin since 2012. On piano, drums and analogue synthesizers, he works in the fields of improvised music, contemporary composition, drone metal and noise rock. As a guest-curator, Rastig is going to arrange the program for the concert series "night sessions @ moers festival 2016". He has worked with international improvisers such as Paal Nilssen-Love, Johannes Bauer, Mette Rasmussen, Silke Eberhard, Michael Zerang, Joe McPhee, Paul Lovens, Els Vandeweyer, Vincent von Schlippenbach plus many more.
