Louise Trueheart

Louise Trueheart is a Berlin-based choreographer, dancer, and writer. She has performed her works at Sophiensälle, Dock 11, Flutgraben e.V’s 3am, and Ada Studios, as well as in Tel Aviv’s Habait Theater. Her work explores transcendence. She has worked with Asaf Aharonson, Cecile Bally, Melanie Jame Wolf, and Zwoisy Mears-Clarke, and in the visual arts context, for Tino Seghal (2015-2017), Nikima Jagudajev, Andrew Hardwidge, and Johanna Bruckner. As a writer, she has published work on 4.5 Sätze, Berlin Art Link, Dazed Beauty, and Profound Experience of Earth. Louise edits, manages, and sustains the online magazine of queer feminist collective COVEN BERLIN, with whom she is supported by the Berlin Senat Projekträume Förderung. With COVEN, Louise has developed concepts and curated interdisciplinary exhibitions at the Schwules Museum, nGbK, the Project Space Festival, and Galerie im Turm.

A residency at ausland with Zwoisy Mears Clarke, together with long-term collaborator, dramaturg and performer Louise Trueheart.  During the residency time period, the two will return to their research and engagements with non-visual dance, a dance form that they have been continually engaging with since 2014.
