Durch finanzielle Mittel der Initiative Kulturarbeit werden 300 Stellen für wertvolle MitarbeiterInnen bei Kulturinitiativen gefördert. Dass diese Initiative im Herbst ausläuft, und der weitere Verlauf noch ungewiss ist, regt uns zum Nachdenken, Nachfragen, Diskutieren und Recherchieren an über die Fragen: was Kulturarbeit überhaupt ist, wie und ob sie in der jüngeren und älteren Geschichte finanziert worden ist, wie es damit in anderen Ländern, Staaten und Kontinenten aussieht und was sich die betroffenen Kultureinrichtungen für die Zukunft wünschen.

Call In Show + natürlich die musikalischen Früchte der Kulturarbeit im ausland, Programmtips, Schnipsel aus alten Diskussionen, Flugblattverlesung uvm.

Initiative Kulturarbeit was a 3 year program in Berlin, which provided for lots of small venues the possibility to employ people. Also ausland, which is otherwise volunteer run. Now this program stops, the future is so far unknown, now there is initiative SOS Kulturarbeit, which fights for the continuation of Initiative Kulturarbeit.

We at raudio aasland take this events as an occasion to stop and think about working in culture and being paid and not being paid, what does one mean and what the other, how do we live from it and if not, then from what. And how do we want to work, how is it in other countries and continents?
