Splitter Orchester // The Still
Splitter Music Festival presents over eighty globally networked artists in four large scale programs of musical mining.
The Paradox of Plenty invites the audience to be immersed in the complex beauty of the Splitter Music Universe, which requires no leaders or conductors. Exploiting elements of spatialisation and improvisation, Splitter Orchester will mesmerize the audience with the stunning transparency of its sound. The instrumental drone rock minimalism of The Still is extended this time featuring Chris Abrahams and Thomas Meadowcroft. Their lengthy and repetitive song structures are both tonally immersive and meandering; disarmingly warm and harmonically grounded. To celebrate the first two releases of the Splitter Orchester, available at the Mikroton Record Store during the festival, Hanno Leichtmann will complete the night with a genre-defying DJ Set.
