Ana Laura Lozza, Bárbara Hang, Stellan Veloce and Catalina Fernández

In the context of their residency at Ausland, the choreographers Ana Laura Lozza and Bárbara Hang, together with musician Stellan Veloce and light-designer Catalina Fernández, explore the residual dimension of actions. They look at what is left after something has just happened, after something was just thrown away, after something has just disappeared. Through practices of engagement between people and things (including a garden plastic chair!), they will break up actions, reactions and transactions to their minimum possible searching for the heart of (trashed) things.
In a ritual that could be defined as waste, they will commit to enormous amounts of stuff that are permanently moving from one place to the next one, sometimes getting transformed in the process, sometimes staying the same, but then moving again and again.
Remainders is part of the research project "The fragility of (in)significant things" that through various choreographic and performative means, explores body-thing practices within the current economic context.

Im Rahmen einer Arbeitsresidenz setzen sich die Choreographinnen Ana Laura Lozza und Bárbara Hang gemeinsam mit dem Musiker*in Stellan Veloce und der Lichtdesignerin Catalina Fernández mit den Rückständen menschlichen Handelns auseinander. Sie beobachten, was übrig bleibt, nachdem etwas geschehen ist, nachdem etwas weggeworfen wurde, nachdem etwas plötzlich verschwunden ist. Durch Praktiken der Konfrontation von Menschen und Dingen (inkl. eines Gartenstuhls Typ Monobloc aus weißem Plastik) zerlegen sie Handlungen, Reaktionen und Transaktionen in deren elementare Minimalformen, um zum Kern der Abfall-Dinge vorzudringen.
In einem als Abfall definierten Ritual widmen sich die Künstlerinnen enormen Mengen von Zeug, das sich permanent von einem Ort zum nächsten bewegt und dabei manchmal transformiert wird, oder aber identisch bleibt, sich aber immer weiter bewegt.
Remainders ist Teil des Forschungsprojekts „The fragility of (in)significant things“, das mit verschiedenen choreografischen und performativen Mitteln Körper-Ding-Praktiken in gegenwärtigen ökonomischen Verhältnissen erforscht.
