Das ausland bietet 2021 Residenzen für vier Künstler_innenkollektive im Bereich Tanz und Performance: Lee Méir, Maya Weinberg, Roni Katz | Maciej Sado, Djibril Sall | Ana Laura, Bárbara Hang, Julia Rodríguez, Catalina Fernández | Gretchen Blegen, Hilà Lahav,Ruth Waldeyer. Der Fokus 2021 liegt auf Performer_innen und Tänzer_innen, die ein besonderes Engagement und Interesse an kollektiver Arbeit, kollaborativen Praktiken, sicheren und inklusiven Performanceräumen und sozio-kulturellen Perspektiven ihrer künstlerischen Arbeitsformen haben.
[de] ausland bietet interessierten Einzel-Künstler/innen und Künstler/innengruppen an, sich auf eine Residenz im ausland zu bewerben. Pro Jahr finden vier Residenzen statt, in der Regel im Januar, im März, im Oktober und im Dezember. Die Residenzen sind in der Regel 10 Tage lang, im Ausnahmefall auch länger.
Mit dem Residenzprogramm fördern wir Performance, Tanz, Theater, mixed media und (Sound)installationen im ausland. Die Residenzen sind nicht für rein musikalische Projekte (Aufnahmen, Konzertproben etc.)
Was bekommen die Resident/innen: Ungestörte Nutzung des auslands als Probe- und Arbeitsraum über die gesamte Residenzzeit, Zugang zur im ausland vorhandenen Technik inkl. der nötigen Einführungen, sowie Rat und Unterstützung bei der Umsetzung ihrer Projekte.
Was verlangen wir von den Resident/innen: Im Laufe der Residenz müßt ihr eine (!) öffentliche Veranstaltung durchführen. Dabei ist alles denkbar: Vom Gespräch, über ein Showing bis zum Einladen von anderen Künstler/innen, was auch immer, solange es öffentlich ist. Diese Veranstaltung kann aber nicht erst während der Residenz geplant werden, sondern sollte Teil des Residenzplans sein, mit dem ihr Euch bei uns bewerbt.
Mehr als eine öffentliche Veranstaltung während der Residenz ist in der Regel nicht möglich. Ausnahmen sind für Ausstellungen und Installationen denkbar.
Wie funktioniert die Auswahl:
Eine Bewerbung ist jederzeit möglich. Residenzen werden min. 6 Monate und häufig ein Jahr im vorraus vergeben. Kurzfristige Bewerbungen sind daher nicht möglich.
Ihr schickt Euren Vorschlag (gerne kurz und bündig!) als Nachricht über die Webseite http://ausland-berlin.de/contact unter Verwendung der Kategorie 'Partizip Präsens'. Die Nachricht sollte uns dann schon neugierig machen, warum gerade ihr ausgerechnet was im ausland machen wollt.
Und hier noch das Kleingedruckte: Es gibt KEINERLEI finanzielle Unterstützung, d.h. kein Geld, keine Wohung und keine Reisekosten. Wir bemühen uns, diesen unbefriedigenden Zustand zu ändern, aber solange wir nicht externe Unterstützung für diese Residenzen bekommen, können wir keine finanzielle Unterstützung über die Verwendung des ausland hinaus bieten. Es ist nicht möglich, während der Residenzzeit im ausland zu wohnen, also müßt ihr Euch – wenn ihr nicht eh in Berlin wohnt – zusätzlich noch um Schlafplätze kümmern. Möglicherweise können wir euch dabei helfen, was zu finden, aber versprechen können wir nichts...
[en] ausland offers interested solo artists and artists' groups the possibilty to apply for residency. There are four residencies per year, customarily during January, March, October and December. As a rule residencies are 10 days long, exceptions are possible.
With the residencies we support performance, dance, theatre, mixed media and (sound)installations at ausland. The residencies are not for purely musical purposes (band rehearsals / reecordings).
What the residents get: Undisturbed use of ausland as rehearsal or working space over the entire residence time, access to the existing technology including the necessary introductions, as well as advice and support in implementing their projects.
What we ask of the residents: During the course of the residence you must present one (!) public event at ausland. You are free to design your public event any way you see fit: From a conversation, to a work in progress showing, to inviting other artists, anything you like as long as it is a public event. This event can not be planed once you are in residence at ausland, but should be part of your proposal for the residency.
As a rule it is not possible to hold more then one public event per residency. Exceptions could be made for exhibitions or installations.
How does the selection works:
You can apply for a residency at any time. Residencies are booked at least 6 months and often 1 year in advance. Late applications are not possible.
Send us a message through the website http://ausland-berlin.de/contact using the category 'Partizip Präsens'. This message should make us a bit curious why you want to do something at ausland.
And here's the fine print: There is no financial support, ie no money, no flat and no travel costs. We working to change this unsatisfactory situation, but as long as we do not get external support for these residences, we can not provide financial above the free use of the ausland space. It is not possible to live at ausland during the time of the residence. If you do not live in Berlin you will have to find a place to stay somewhere else. Maybe we can help you in finding something but we can make no promises...
