Tanz auf multiplen Ebenen.
Visual Vernacular meets Ballett.
Okan Seese, Tauber Künstler und Performer und Chris Myland,Tänzer und Choreograf wollen mit dem Pas de Deux allen Menschen unabhängig von ihrem Hörstatus Visual Vernacular (VV) zugänglich machen.
Visual Vernacular (VV) ist die rein visuelle Erzählkunst der Gebärdensprachler*innen, die normalerweise nur von Tauben Menschen für Taube Menschen performt wird.
Sie zeichnet sich durch zahlreiche Möglichkeiten der Darstellung dessen, was in der Narration passiert aus.
Erzählt wird mit den Händen, der Mimik, der Gestik und der Körpersprache.
So ist es möglich durch Rollenübernahmen, Perspektiv- und Ebenenwechsel
Ballett zu tanzen, die Gestalt eines Tieres anzunehmen, mehrere Personen gleichzeitig oder auch nur einzelne Körperteile darzustellen.
Mit dem Pas de deux fügen wir der Visual Vernacular (VV) einen weitere Person, Ebene und Raum zu.
Ballett und Visual Vernacular (VV) treffen sich auf einer neuen Tanzfläche.

Dance on multiple layers.
Visual Vernacular meets Ballet.
Okan Seese, deaf artist and performer and Chris Myland, dancer and choreographer wish to make Visual Vernacular (VV) accessible to all people regardless of their hearing status with Pas de Deux.
Visual Vernacular (VV) is the purely-visual storytelling art of signers, usually performed only by deaf people for deaf people.
VV is unique in its numerous means of representing what is happening within the narration.
Narration is done with one's hands, facial expressions, gestures and body language.
Thus, by assuming roles, changing between different perspectives and layers, it is possible to dance ballet, take on the form of an animal, represent several people at the same time or even single body parts.
With Pas de deux we add another person, layer and space to the Visual Vernacular (VV).
Ballet and Visual Vernacular (VV) meet on a new dance floor.
