Lotte Anker & Magda Mayas Duo
Lotte Anker & Magda Mayas have crossed paths many times during the years but only performed together twice: once in Sweden and once in Ukraine as part of Art Meetings Project in Lviv 2014. The concert at Ausland will be the premiere for this duo collaboration.
Both musicians are interested in - and working with - the spatial qualities in music and various textural possibilities, at the same time as they both have developed a very personal vocabulary and approach to improvisation. Exploration of sound, noise and silence, subtle and more dense energy fields and highly present communication will be what to expect from this concert.
Gartmayer/ Ernst/ dieb13
Eine improvisatorische Begegnung, bei der ästhetisch unterschiedliche Zugänge, rhythmisch komplexe Strukturen und chaotische Klangwelten aufeinandertreffen. Susanna Gartmayer beschäftigt sich mit den Klangmöglichkeiten der tiefen Klarinetten und setzt diese bei der Erfindung fragiler Soundgebilde ebenso ein wie in experimentellem Rock. Man kennt sie u.a. von broken.heart.collector, möström und The Vegetable Orchestra. Von Katharina Ernst am Schlagzeug ist von rotzig-lautem Getrommel bis polyrhythmisch ausgetüftelten Grooves alles zu erwarten. Auftritte mit u.a. Kazuhisa Uchihashi, eRikm und Burkhard Stangl werden durch ihre Projekte im Bereich der Bildenden Kunst und der zeitgenössischen Choreographie ergänzt. Mit dieb13 ist das Trio komplett. Der umtriebige Wiener Turntablist, regelmäßig mit Persönlichkeiten wie Billy Roisz, Mats Gustafsson und Phil Minton auftritt, bringt elektrisches und eklektisches Knistern ins Geschehen.
