[en] The Inaugural COMPASS festival of music and art opens proceedings with a dialogue between Beirut and Berlin in the realm of sonic and visual arts. Encompassing Music, Graphics, Photography, Installation, Film and Performance, we have invited a number of significant Beirut based multi-disciplinary artists to present their work and collaborate with like-minded colleagues from Berlin.
Mazen Kerbaj, Raed Yassin, Sharif Sehnaoui, Charbel Haber and Tony Elieh will present their groups The 'A' Trio, The Johnny Kafta Anti-Vegitarian Orchestra and Scrambled Eggs in conjunction with short films and a visual art workshop. as well as presenting new constellations in partnership with Berliners Axel Doerner, Michael Vorfeld, Hanna Hartman, Andrea Neumann, Olivier Di Placido, TRANSMIT, JD Zazie, Magda Mayas and Tony Buck.
The results promise to be exciting, engaging and inspiring.
[de] Die erste Ausgabe des COMPASS Festival Berlin präsentiert sich in diesem Jahr mit einem Dialog zwischen Berliner und Beiruter Künstlern im Bereich der audiovisuellen Künste.
Das Festival umfasst Konzerte, Graphik- und Photographie Ausstellungen, Filmpräsentationen und Performance. Wir haben eine Vielzahl von bedeutenden Beiruter multidisziplinären Künstlern eingeladen, ihre Arbeiten zu präsentieren und mit gleich gesinnten Berliner Künstlern zu kollaborieren
Mazen Kerbaj, Raed Yassin, Sharif Sehnaoui, Charbel Haber und Tony Elieh stellen ihre Bands das 'A' Trio, "The Johnny Kafta Anti-Vegitarian Orchestra" und "Scrambled Eggs" vor, zusätzlich findet ein Workshop für visuelle Künstler und eine Kurzfilm Präsentation statt.
