Voice-Skin ist ein Klangerlebnis für Stimme und (Elektro-)Akustik präsentiert von der Sängerin Janneke van der Putten. Es beschäftigt sich mit den Grenzen und Möglichkeiten der menschlichen Stimme in der Interaktion mit der „Voice-Skin“, einem tragbaren akustischen Interface. Unkonventionelle Stimmtechniken und räumliche Resonanzen werden mit (elektro-)akustischen Klängen gemischt, die durch die Materialoberflächen und elektronischen Komponenten der Voice-Skin übertragen und verarbeitet werden. Die Bewegungen der Sängerin erzeugen ein räumliches Klangerlebnis in das die Zuhörer selbst eintauchen.
Das Projekt ist eine Zusammenarbeit mit mehreren Komponisten, Designern und der Sängerin-Performerin. Hier gibt es einen Eindruck von den elektroakustischen Teilen von Werner Durands Komposition Heart Sines (https://soundcloud.com/werner-durand/sine-hearts) und von Philemon Mukarnos Komposition Surat-Surat Perang (https://soundcloud.com/pmukarno .) /surat-surat-perang). Der andere beteiligte Komponist ist Sajjra Xhrs Galarreta, der das Werk Larynx Lux ("Luz Laringea") für die Voice-Skin und van der Puttens Stimme geschaffen hat. Die Arbeit untersucht Trance-Effekte durch Kehlkopfgesang und Glottis-Attacke, kombiniert mit der Exposition des Zuhörers gegenüber Stilleintervallen und oto-akustischen Emissionen, die von den mobilen Lautsprechern gespielt werden.
Nach der Aufführung der drei Stücke sprechen Janneke van der Putten und der Komponist Werner Durand, moderiert von Mathias Maschat, über das Projekt.

Janneke van der Putten presents a performance about the limits and possibilities of the human voice in interaction with a portable sound system, called the Voice-Skin. Unconventional vocal techniques and spatial resonances are mixed with electro-acoustic sounds emitted through loudspeakers mounted on the textile surface of the Voice-Skin. The Voice-Skin is a performance intended to be experienced in the same physical space as where it is performed. Due to the movements of the vocalist, the direction of the sound changes constantly. In addition, the sound is enhanced by the shape of the Voice-Skin and by the architecture.
The project is a collaboration with multiple composers, designers and the vocalist-performer. The other participating composer is Sajjra Xhrs Galarreta, who created the work Larynx Lux ("Luz Laringea") for the Voice-Skin and van der Putten's voice. The work explores trance effects through throat singing and glottis attack, combined with the listener vocalist's exposure to intervals of silence and oto-acoustic emissions played by the mobile speakers.
