These two days of performances on Sept. 2nd and 3rd are exploring nonverbal communication and conversation between a live writer with autism, guest musicians, and their audience through sound. Writing is made audible through contact microphones on the table to which the musicians are responding to create a synergetic dialogue in real time.
Our starting point is the conviction that communication through sound provides a powerful alternative to speech, one that is able to overcome the deficits of spoken language and verbal communication. We also believe in our intuitive intelligence and the knowledge locked within us, searching for the circumstances which allow them to rise to the surface.
The concert takes place as part of the Month of Contemporary Music Berlin (Monat der zeitgenössischen Musik).
